Seek support 🌱
Human rights advocacy and movement work, although crucial, can lead to burnout, compassion fatigue, or simply overwhelm in the long run, if not supported by long-term healing and spending time in community. Active healing work also allows you to learn from your community, witness and understand each others’ experiences, and build a robust map of shared care. Currently, we are able to offer healing support through the following pathways:
Songs of hope, resistance and survival
A community healing space facilitated by Rayna Mehta, experienced mental health professional. This sharing space invites us to spend some time with songs that may have accompanied people through moments of uncertainty, hope, resistance, and survival. As we listen and reflect, we hope to create opportunities to notice and honour the values, commitments, relationships and acts of solidarity that continue to sustain us.
